THICKNESS
The remarkable K80 surface boasts the versatility to be flawlessly applied in a single, seamless layer ranging from as thin as 3mm up to a robust 8mm in thickness. This ensures maximum adaptability to suit a variety of construction needs while maintaining exceptional performance.
SUBFLOOR PREPARATION
1. Begin by meticulously eliminating oil stains, dust, loose debris, and any remnants of old coatings from the surface, ensuring a pristine start.
2. Skillfully sand any uneven ground to effectively eradicate loose concrete and impurities, preparing a flawless foundation.
3. Ensure the base is thoroughly dry and completely free of puddles, to guarantee optimal conditions for application.
4. Tailor your treatment approach: for absorbent substrates, enhance performance with our LG660 water-based absorbent interface treatment agent; for non-absorbent surfaces, rely on the LG670 non-absorbent interface agent to expertly prepare the substrate.
water-to-ingredient ratio
Water to mortar ratio: 1:5 - Achieve ideal consistency and performance with our precisely balanced formula, ensuring optimal strength and durability for your projects.
APPLICATION
1. Begin by meticulously cleaning the base layer to ensure optimal surface conditions. Select a suitable primer for the task at hand. Once the primer has been absorbed and starts to dry, which usually occurs within 2 to 6 hours post-application, you can commence with the preparatory stages for the self-leveling process.
2. To prepare the self-leveling mixture, pour approximately 5 liters of pristine clean water into a mixing container. Gradually incorporate a 25-kilogram bag of the self-leveling compound into the water, mixing continuously with a mechanical mixer until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. Distribute the freshly mixed material evenly across the surface using a specialized notched trowel to regulate the thickness. Ensure to shield the fresh compound from direct sunlight and robust winds to maintain its integrity.
3. Prior to the self-leveling compound setting, utilize a defoaming roller to meticulously roll over the surface. This will efficiently expel any entrapped air bubbles, ensuring a flawless finish. For larger projects, consider using a pump with a delivery capacity ranging from 20 to 40 liters per minute to facilitate the transportation of the self-leveling slurry seamlessly.
IMPORTANT NOTES
1. It is crucial to maintain a construction environment with a temperature precisely controlled between 5°C and 30°C. Additionally, ensure that the relative humidity remains at an optimal level, avoiding excessively high humidity to preserve the quality of the application.
2. Adhere strictly to the water-to-product ratio as outlined in the product manual. This precision in measurement is vital to maintain the superior performance characteristics of the self-leveling material. An imbalance in water content, whether too much or too little, could significantly alter the material's efficacy.
3. Apply the mixed self-leveling material within a crucial 20-minute window after preparation. This timing ensures that the material does not start to solidify, which would render it ineffective and unusable.
4. Safety is paramount during application. Take precautionary measures to prevent the material from splashing into the eyes or onto the skin, which could cause harm.
5. During the important curing period, safeguard the surface from heavy impacts and water exposure. This will ensure the integrity and durability of the self-leveling application.
TRANSPORTATION
Store the product in a dry, well-ventilated area, ideally where it is sheltered from direct sunlight and moisture. During transportation, handle the packages with care, avoiding any collisions or compression that could compromise the packaging and, consequently, the product quality.
