Performance characteristics
The LG9000 water-based adhesive is crafted to meet the highest standards for floor decoration materials that demand exceptional elasticity and superior curing properties. This makes it ideal for wood flooring and versatile options like SPC, WPC, and LVT. Its adaptability extends to functioning as a wet-bond, pressure-sensitive adhesive on pre-treated absorbent substrates. Remarkably, it also serves effectively as a gap-filling and pressure-sensitive adhesive for non-absorbent substrates or existing flooring, albeit to a limited extent.
On non-absorbent substrates, the flooring installation process can commence 20-50 minutes following the adhesive application. This product boasts long-lasting adhesion, formidable peel and shear strength, rapid curing, and outstanding curing strength. It's crucial that the substrate be solid, smooth, dry, and free from cracks and dust. For uneven, rough, dusty or non-absorbent substrates, prepare the surface with LG180 Substrate Hardener or LG670 Non-Absorbent Interface Agent to safeguard against substrate debonding.
Installation Instructions
For the installation of wood flooring, the use of a B11 notched trowel designed for wood flooring adhesive is recommended. It is advisable to replace the notched bar every 100 square meters to ensure optimal performance. Consider the open time, which depends on the adhesive volume applied, ambient climate conditions, and the substrate's absorption rate. You will know the adhesive is prepared for use once it begins forming strings.
This adhesive is also perfectly suited for the wet bonding of SPC, WPC, and LVT flooring. For these applications, a B1 notched trowel is recommended, with notched bars replaced every 100 square meters for consistency. Begin the flooring installation once the adhesive forms strings, ensuring it adheres effectively to the floor and transfers to the back of the flooring. During installation, ensure that the entire surface is rolled with a roller and use a cork board to press the edges and corners. Confirm that the surface is pressed flat without any voids, allowing a complete bond between the flooring and adhesive. Re-roll the surface after 20 minutes.
