It excels as a wet-bond, pressure-sensitive adhesive on expertly pre-treated absorbent substrates. Moreover, it stands out as a gap-filling and pressure-sensitive solution for non-absorbent substrates or pre-existing flooring, albeit with some limitations.
When applied on non-absorbent substrates, this adhesive allows for the installation of flooring a convenient 20-50 minutes post-application. Its attributes include enduring adhesion, formidable peel and shear strength, rapid curing, and superior curing strength. It is paramount that the substrate is solid, smooth, dry, crack-free, and dust-free. For less-than-ideal conditions, such as uneven, rough, dusty, or non-absorbent substrates, a pre-treatment with LG180 Substrate Hardener or LG670 Non-Absorbent Interface Agent is advised to avert substrate debonding.
Installation Instructions
For the flawless installation of wood flooring, it's advisable to employ a B11 notched trowel, specially designed for wood flooring adhesive, replacing the notched bar every 100 square meters to maintain efficiency. The open time can be effectively determined by considering the adhesive application amount, climatic conditions, and the substrate's absorption rate. The adhesive is primed for action when it begins to form strings.
Additionally, for the wet bonding of SPC, WPC, and LVT floors, a B1 notched trowel is recommended, with the notched bar being replaced every 100 square meters to ensure optimal results. Begin floor installation at the moment the adhesive starts forming strings, ensuring it adheres superbly to the floor and transfers to the flooring's underside. It's imperative to roll the entire surface with a roller, pressing edges and corners with a cork board to eliminate dead spots, thus allowing complete bonding.
