Its versatile formulation allows it to function as a wet-bond, pressure-sensitive adhesive for pre-treated absorbent substrates, and it can also bridge gaps effectively as a pressure-sensitive adhesive on non-absorbent substrates or over existing flooring, albeit to a limited extent.
On non-absorbent substrates, the flooring installation window opens 20-50 minutes post-application. Revel in its enduring adhesion power, with robust peel and shear strength, and a commendable fast-curing process complemented by high curing strength. Ensure the substrate is solid, smooth, dry, devoid of cracks, and free from dust. For substrates that are uneven, rough, or dusty, or for non-absorbent surfaces, pre-treatment with LG180 Substrate Hardener or LG670 Non-Absorbent Interface Agent is crucial to prevent any risk of substrate debonding.
Installation Instructions
When installing wood flooring, a B11 notched trowel designed specifically for wood flooring adhesive is recommended. Remember to replace the notched bar every 100 square meters to maintain efficiency. The optimal open time varies depending on the adhesive volume, climate conditions, and substrate absorption rate. You'll know the adhesive is ready when it starts to form strings, signaling the perfect moment for installation.
For the wet bonding of SPC, WPC, and LVT flooring, the B1 notched trowel is ideal, and it's advised to replace the notched bar every 100 square meters. Installation should commence once the adhesive begins to string, ensuring a robust adhesion as it transfers effectively to the back of the flooring. During installation, use a roller to thoroughly roll over the installed surface; utilize a cork board to press the edges and corners. Guarantee that the entire surface is evenly pressed without leaving any spots unattended, allowing the adhesive to fully engage with the flooring. After 20 minutes, another round of rolling is recommended. Adhere to the technical guidelines provided by Lan Guan for optimal results.
