Performance characteristics
The LG9000 water-based adhesive is the ultimate choice for floor decoration materials demanding superior elasticity and exceptional curing properties. Ideal for wood flooring, SPC, WPC, and LVT, this versatile adhesive performs remarkably as a wet-bond, pressure-sensitive adhesive for pre-treated absorbent substrates. Additionally, it functions effectively as a gap-filling and pressure-sensitive adhesive on non-absorbent substrates or pre-existing flooring within certain limits, offering unparalleled versatility.
When applied to non-absorbent substrates, this adhesive allows flooring installation to commence between 20 to 50 minutes post-application. It boasts an enduring adhesion coupled with formidable peel and shear strength, ensuring fast curing times and high curing strength. To optimize outcomes, the substrate must be solid, smooth, dry, free from cracks, and devoid of dust. In cases involving uneven, rough, dusty, or non-absorbent substrates, pre-conditioning the surface with LG180 Substrate Hardener or LG670 Non-Absorbent Interface Agent is recommended to prevent any substrate debonding.
Installation Instructions
For impeccable wood flooring installation, it is advised to employ a B11 notched trowel tailored specifically for wood flooring adhesives. Remember to replace the notched bar every 100 square meters to maintain optimal performance. Evaluate the open time by factoring in the adhesive amount applied, climate conditions, and substrate absorption rate. The adhesive is ready for action when it starts forming strings, indicating the perfect moment to commence installation.
For the wet bonding of SPC, WPC, and LVT flooring, a B1 notched trowel is recommended, ensuring to replace the notched bar every 100 square meters for consistency. Begin the flooring installation once the adhesive starts forming strings, ensuring seamless adhesion to the floor and effective transfer to the back of the flooring. During installation, it is crucial to roll the entire surface with a roller, using a cork board to press the edges and corners firmly. Make sure the entire installed surface is uniformly pressed flat to maximize bonding with the adhesive. Perform another rolling session after 20 minutes.
