THICKNESS
The remarkable K80 can be effortlessly applied in a single application, offering a versatile thickness range from a minimal 3mm to an impressive 8mm. This adaptability ensures it meets diverse project requirements and delivers exceptional surface performance every time.
SUBFLOOR PREPARATION
1. Begin by meticulously eliminating any oil stains, dust particles, loose debris, and remnants of previous coatings from the surface. This critical step ensures a pristine base for optimal application.
2. Proceed to sand any uneven areas of the ground thoroughly, effectively removing any loose concrete and impurities. This will result in a perfectly smooth surface, ready for the next phase.
3. Maintain the base in a dry condition, ensuring it is completely free of any puddles. A dry base is essential for the superior performance of the underlayment.
4. For substrates with absorbent properties, we highly recommend applying the LG660 water-based absorbent interface treatment agent. For substrates that do not absorb, opt for the LG670 non-absorbent interface agent to ensure a flawless treatment.
water-to-ingredient ratio
Achieve unmatched consistency with our recommended water to mortar ratio of 1:5, ensuring robust and reliable surface quality every time
APPLICATION
1. Begin by meticulously cleaning the base layer. Choose the ideal primer suited for your needs. Once the primer is absorbed and partially dried (around 2-6 hours post-application), you can commence the preparation phase for the self-leveling process. This ensures a pristine and stable base for optimal results.
2. Carefully pour approximately 5 liters of pristine water into a clean container. Gradually introduce a 25-kilogram bag of self-leveling compound into the water, and blend with a mixer until the mixture is silky smooth, free from lumps. Carefully pour the mixture and spread it evenly using a specialized notched trowel to maintain the desired thickness. Protect this freshly prepared material from direct sunlight and strong winds to ensure its integrity and performance.
3. Prior to the setting of the self-leveling compound, utilize a defoaming roller to gently roll over the surface, ensuring all entrapped air is expelled for a flawless finish. Note: You can employ a pump with a delivery capacity of 20-40 liters per minute to facilitate the efficient transport of the self-leveling slurry.
IMPORTANT NOTES
1. Ensure the construction environment is kept within a temperature range of 5°C to 30°C, with controlled relative humidity for optimal results. This controlled environment is crucial for the flawless application of the product.
2. Adhere strictly to the water ratio specified in the product manual. Deviating by adding too much or too little water can significantly impact the performance and quality of the self-leveling material.
3. Apply the freshly mixed self-leveling material within 20 minutes to prevent premature solidification, which could render the material unusable and affect the finished surface.
4. Exercise caution during application to prevent the material from coming into contact with your eyes or skin, ensuring safe and effective handling throughout the process.
5. During the curing phase, ensure the surface remains undisturbed by heavy objects or exposure to water, safeguarding the integrity and durability of the newly finished surface.
TRANSPORTATION
Store in a dry, well-ventilated, and cool environment, away from direct sunlight and moisture. During transportation, handle with care to avoid collisions and compression, which could compromise the packaging and product quality.
